The successful candidate will beresponsible for the
effectiveevaluation, planning and development of potentialPV
projects(ground-mounted / roof-top) with a size of up to 5MW per
powerplantor bigger if the FIT legislation allows or if ROC finance
isviable.He/she will be part of a team of other in-house
projectmanagers carrying outcommercial, legal and technical due
diligencesfor specific projects,identifying and liaising with
internal &external legal advisors,development partners, as well
as managingand liaising with planning-relatedservice providers,
gridoperators, electric utilities, communities and
otherinvolvedstakeholders in the UK.
Your duties and responsibilities:
Effective evaluation, planning anddevelopment of potential
sitesfor PV installations (roof-top andground-mounted) with a size
of upto 5MW, or bigger if the FIT legislationallows or if ROC
finance isviable, per power plant.
Contributing toward the success of a teamof in-house
projectmanagers.
Undertake commercial, legal and technicaldue diligences
forprojects either directly, with support of other
departmentsorexternal service providers.
Liaison with and/or management ofinternal and external
legaladvisors, development partners, planning related
serviceproviders, technicalconsultants, construction
subcontractors,surveyors, project clients andlandowners, grid
operators, electricutilities, communities and other
involvedstakeholders in theUK.
Supporting the Head of Project Managementin the development
ofeffective strategies and procedures to develop PVprojects in
UK
Project manage and oversee specificprojects over the
entireproject development process including site assessmentand
layout,planning, permitting, purchasing and construction
handover.
Liaise and work closely with theConstruction Manager to
supportthe construction and commissioning process forspecific
projects
Supporting the Head of Project Managementin the building a
solidpipeline of profitable projects that support a
sustainablebusinessfor juwi Solar UK.
Conduct detailed assessments of sitesacquired by the
siteacquisition team all the time mindful of
economic,administrative,environmental, contractual and technical
considerations
Project manage the process to carry outenvironmental
assessmentsand grid connection studies for specific projects
Work with local authorities to obtainplanning permits and
othernecessary licences, clearances permits for
specificprojects
Close interaction with specializeddepartments of juwi Solar
andthe juwi Group`s HQ in Germany, in
particularconcerninginternational business development, project
acquisition,projectmanagement, system design, purchasing,
construction, O &M and projectfinance
Develop and maintain necessary personalnetworks to
stakeholdersat different levels that effect the
successfuldevelopment ofspecific projects such as local authorities
as well asenvironmentalgroups, industry associations, grid
operators orserviceproviders.
Supporting the Head of Project Managementin assuring thatproject
management team targets are met.
Supporting the regular update of projectpipeline reports
andundertaking the regular update of specific project reports
Supporting the Head of Project Managementin financial
planningfor the project management department
Supporting the Head of Project Managementduring theannual
budgeting and quarterly forecasting process of the juwiGroup
Responsibility for financial managementof budgets for
specificprojects
Implementation and regular use ofstandard tools, processes and
software
Your profile
Skills & attributes required:
Must be degree educated with anelectrical/mechanicalengineering,
environmental or planning background.
Must have proven project management experienceand
excellentproject management skills.
Proven understanding of the UK Planningprocess, procedures
&legal framework.
Ability to interpret drawings.
Strong commercial acumen.
Strong communication & inter-personalskills.
Must be able to work to strict deadlines& budgets.
MS Word, Excel, Project.
Knowledge of Health & Safety, riskassessment, CDM
andBuilding Regulations.
Experience Desirable in the following:
Awareness of renewable energy sectorespecially solar PV
Awareness of renewable energy policy
Familiarity with Solar PV technology
Engineering recommendation G83 and G59
Electrical Competency and Understandingof UK
ElectricalLegislation
Data logging
Graphic displays and building management systems.
