Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a site surveyor to join ouraward winning renewable energy installation company, based inExeter.

The role will include visiting prospective customers anddesigning renewable energy systems, including solar thermal,solarPV,biomass,wind, CHP and heat pumps systems.   We work on avariety of projects, including whole house integrated systems,smallscale domestic systems and large scale commercial systems.  Ongoing in house training will be provided.  

We are not looking for a pushy sales person.   However wedo need someone who has experience working with customers to findsolutions to meet their requirements.   We need someone whoknows what they are talking about and someone who can provide ahelpful and knowledgeable design service to potentialclients. 

This role would involve approximately 3 days / 5 mornings a weekcarrying out site surveys, and 2 days / 5 afternoons a week writinginstallation proposals.   This would include specifying partsand quoting an installation price.

Customers will be very varied so the right applicant will beable to relate and adapt to different situations.   We have awide range of customers with varying levels of understanding it istherefore important that the applicant be able to explain theintricacies of the systems we provide in a clear and understandablefashion. Surveys will be for both domestic and commercialprojects.

Essential:

Experience and knowledge ofrenewables.   

A technical back ground and/or academic qualification inrenewables would be desirable.  

Excellent customer relations, anability to listen, understandand communicate the customer's requirements.

Good organisational skills.

Knowledge of current legislation,government policy and grantsavailable.

Candidates must have good teamworking,interpersonal,presentationand written communicationskills.

Flexible, adaptable, willing andable to travel.

Clean UK driving license.
